As the Content Writer at Surge, your main responsibilities will be to write high-quality and engaging content for various digital channels such as the website, social media, blog, and sales materials. You will also collaborate with our leadership team to ensure that all forms of content maintain the company's brand voice and positioning guidelines promoting Surge's value proposition.

Additionally, you will be responsible for continuously measuring and improving content performance through analytics tools, ensuring that all content contributes to SEO outcomes and results, and promoting content in the community and industry to increase audience growth, customer acquisition, and conversions.

This is a full-time (Monday - Friday) On-Site position that is located at Surge Staffing HQ in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and author content for the company website, ad copies, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, blog, video/audio, print and infographics
• Develop brand voice and positioning guidelines for creative writing material and develop and administer the content editorial workflow, from submission to delivery
• Ensure all forms of content contribute to SEO outcomes
• Work with team leaders to produce high quality content for promotional materials that highlights Surge's value proposition
• Measure the impact on audience growth, customer acquisition, and conversions
• Manage and update content resources, including, but not limited to, website copy, training materials, sales materials, and organizational materials
• Partner with the Creative team to leverage Google Analytics tools
• Conduct extensive research of the industry in order to deliver relevant, consistent and engaging creative writings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or English
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with content marketing/copywriting and multimedia storytelling, familiarity with various digital media genres and platforms
• Ability to develop original and high-quality content specific to the staffing industry
• Comfortable tackling multiple creative writing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Experience working cross functionally with various department teams
• 3 years' experience in a similar role as a journalist or writer in media, agency, or corporate setting
